Bobby Davis comes from the small farming community of Wheatfield, IN. He now makes his home in Salyersville, KY.
In recent years, Bobby has worked with different bluegrass acts, such as Audie Blaylock and Redline, The James King Band, Valerie Smith and Liberty Pike, Don Rigsby and Midnight Call, and Michael Cleveland and Flamekeeper. He's been on several recordings, including an IBMA nomination, during his tenure with Audie Blaylock and Redline.
Bobby started playing mandolin and fiddle at 16 and bass at age 18. Bobby has been touring as a full-time musician, since age 24, which has included trips to Europe, 14 countries, and 44 states.
Bobby plays a 1946 M1 Kay bass. Bobby sold his prized pair of 4H brown Swiss dairy cows to buy his first bass.
He brings all these experiences to the Bluegrass Buckaroos and looks forward to sharing his love for traditional bluegrass and classic country music.
